Bob Patton was vice president and general counsel of Lexmark International, Inc. from 2008 to 2017. Lexmark was a NYSE listed company until being successfully sold in November of 2016 to a group of private investors from China. Bob was responsible for the worldwide operations of Lexmark’s legal department as well as acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Lexmark, Bob spent 15 years in the legal department at Xerox Corporation. Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Southern Connecticut State University and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University College of Law). Bob served on the Finance Council of the Catholic Diocese of Lexington for ten years and is on the Lay Person Pension Committee for the Catholic Dioceses of Covington and Lexington. Bob is also very active with the Boy Scouts of America currently serving as Troop 103 Chairman. In 2011 and 2012, he was fortunate enough to serve as the Lexmark Executive Sponsor for the United Way raising over $1M in support each year for the United Way. He and his wife Donna have been married for 30 years and have four children.
